    Jayne Lawrence

    PRINCIPAL/ARTISTIC DIRECTOR FIDTA

    Jayne trained at Timmins Academy from the age of 3, whilst at the school she gained honours in all IDTA & RAD exams, before she embarked on a professional career as a dancer & choreographer. Jayne is a fully qualified IDTA Fellowship teacher, ISTD qualified, has a Diploma in Musical Theatre from Worcester College and is also fully qualified STOTT Pilates instructor to advance level including pre & postnatal Pilates and Reformer.

    Having travelled the world as Dance Captain for the world’s largest companies Celebrity & Princess Cruises, she has a vast all round understanding most dance styles. Jayne has performed in the Blues Brothers Musical (Berlin, Istanbul, Amsterdam), Stars in Concert (Berlin), Spirit of the Dance (Ireland, UK, US), Classical Meets Pop (Stuttgart), Last Choir Standing (BBC), X-Factor, GMTV, This Morning (ITV), Leading hotels of the world – contemporary dance works. Timberland, Nokia, Samsung & BMW reveals – Middle East for Young Guns Group. Choreographer – Got To Dance (Sky 1), Barbie The Musical (UK Tour), Olivia Safe (INDY Awards), Pineapple Dance Studios (Sky 1), Plague Street Dance Crew (Barcelona), H&M Commercial with Lady Gaga & Tony Bennett. Upon returning to London she studied at London Contemporary Dance to further her teaching and choreographic skills.

    Jayne creates outstanding choreography for Timmins Students and to date has a 100% pass rate with exams.

    Camilla Lloyd

    AIDTA, CONTEMPORARY DANCE, ACROBATIC ARTS & POINTE WORK.

    Camilla’s training started at Timmins Academy aged 3 where she completed her IDTA examinations in Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz and Theatre Craft to advanced levels. Camilla is an associate member of the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) where she qualified with distinction in the ballet faculty. She is also a fully qualified in Acrobatic Arts, Rhythmic Gymnastics & General Gymnastics.

    Camilla has worked as a performer, choreographer and dance teacher for many years. She has performed professionally for many Midlands based companies at venues such as, The Hippodrome, The MAC, Symphony Hall and many more.

    Camilla has taught dance and gymnastics in primary, secondary, further education, higher education and private dance settings. Alongside teaching Camilla has been commissioned to choreograph professional works such as the European Wheelchair Basketball opening and closing ceremony’s & Beyond Boarders Live for Birmingham International Dance Festival, Critical Mass 2022 in which she was a dance artist and performer in Wonderous Stories with Motionhouse and Birmingham 2022 Opening Ceremony of the Commonwealth Games.

    Camilla has previously lectured in dance and gymnastics at the University of Worcester on the dance and PE degrees for 5 years. Whilst delivering Contemporary & Gymnastics at Timmins, Camilla is currently the Creative Learning Dance Artist for Motionhouse - Dance Circus Company in Leamington Spa.

    Amy Ince

    ASSOCIATE TEACHER AIDTA - JUNIOR MUSICAL THEATRE & COVER TEACHER

    Amy trained at Timmins Academy from a young age and enjoying success in IDTA examinations and regional dance festivals. She then continued her training at Phil Winston’s Theatreworks.

    Professionally Amy has worked with top clients such as Paris Hilton, MTV’s ‘My Super Sweet Sixteen’, Ferrari and O2 to name but a few. TV work includes BBC drama’s such as Hustle and Doctors.

    Whilst performing Amy discovered her passion for teaching. She obtained a 94% pass grade as an associate Ballet Teacher with the IDTA and was nominated for the Giles Bursary Award for receiving one of the top five grades in the country across the Theatre Board.

    After teaching for Timmins for 8 years Amy decided to go to University to become a Primary school teacher. Amy is a cover teacher for all grades/major examination classes.

    Olivia Newton Jones

    COVER ASSOCIATE TEACHER AIDTA

    Olivia trained at Bird College in London, graduating in 2015 with a BA Honours degree in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre.

    Since graduating Olivia has performed all over the UK with The Vegas Showgirls and Rubix Dance Productions. She also embarked on a 9 month working trip to Australia where she was able to further develop her training at major dance hubs throughout the country, including Sydney Dance Company.

    Olivia has found her true passion lies in dance and performance education and now teaches at various schools and hubs within the area, including lecturing dance at BTEC level.

    Since starting at Timmins, Olivia has taken her Pre-Associate 1 & 2 in IDTA Ballet and is also a fully qualified yoga teacher.

    Having started training at 3 years old at Timmins Academy, Kate then went onto further her career at The Royal Ballet School & Central School of Ballet.

    Professionally Kate has performed with the Royal Ballet (Holland Park, Royal Opera House), Ballet Central (UK & Ireland tour), Phantom of the Opera (Hamburg & Asia Tour), Soloist in European Ballet Nutcracker (UK & Ireland tour), English National Ballet Swan Lake (Royal Albert Hall), Blues Brothers Musical (Berlin & Munich), Classical Meets Pop (Stuttgart), Stars in Concert (Berlin), Everlasting Classics (Kevan Allen/Japan), GO4 (Edinburgh Festival), Alice in Wonderland (Tokyo), INDY Awards (London), Wella Hair Awards (Royal Albert Hall), Alternative Hair Show’s (Royal Albert Hall).

    Since starting a family has embarked on a new career in photography and digital content creation, specialising in the arts and creative industries. Founding RedTeal Creative in London and looking after all things Digital for Timmins is a real privilege.

    Eve Davis

    GUEST TEACHER

    Eve Davis started training at Timmins Academy at the young age of three years old. During her time at the school she has taken exams in Ballet, Musical Theatre, Modern Jazz & Theatre Craft from Pre-Juvenile up to Advance level. Eve has performed in many Timmins showcases at the Crescent Theatre, Birmingham. And has also appeared in Footloose, Miss Siagon & Singing in the Rain with the Alexandra Theatre Stage experience. She was also a strong member of the CAT programme for 2 years at the DanceXChange to broaden her knowledge in Contemporary Dance.

    Eve has worked incredibly hard over lockdown to secure a place at a vocational school to further her performing career. We are pleased that Eve has been offer a degree course at the prestigious Performers College in Essex starting in September. Teaching is a new passion for Eve and she has recently taken her Diploma 3 teaching exam in Ballet.

    Eve will continue to be a regular presence at Timmins for the foreseeable future both as an assistant and guest teacher.

    Sinead Long

    GUEST VOCAL COACH

    Sinead began her training at Timmins Academy and went on the complete her BA(Hons) degree in Musical Theatre at The Arts Educational School London.

    Theatre Credits include: Currently appearing in Hamilton (Victoria Palace, West End.) Other credits Rosie in Sweet Charity (Nottingham Playhouse), King in Concert (Hackney Playhouse), Pop Choir in Chess (London Coliseum, West End), Jesus Christ Superstar (Regents Park Open Air Theatre, winner of the Olivier awards for best revival in 2017), Shell Dockley in Bad Girls: The Musical (Union Theatre), Francine. In Jersey Boys (No1 UK tour), Bootie in Tonight’s the Night (No1 UK Tour), Serena in Legally Blonde (No1 UK Tour.)

    Sinead frequently coaches the Musical theatre courses in between professional contracts.

    Since the COVID-19 Lockdown Sinead has embarked on a new adventure in delivering high end musical theatre workshops taught by not only herself, but those that are in the industry.   • Hannah Davis

    STUDENT TEACHER

    Hannah Davies joined Timmins Academy at the age of 3yrs old. She has taken exams in all subjects such as Ballet, Modern Jazz, Theatre Craft & Musical Theatre. Hannah has performed a number of shows for Timmins at the Crescent Theatre in Birmingham and will soon be appearing in the up and coming DanceXchange Beyond Borders project. Hannah is brilliant with the children and has found a new passion for teaching. Hannah is currently working towards her Diploma 3 teaching exam in Ballet.

    STUDENT TEACHERS

    Hannah Bishop Joined Timmins Academy at the age of 3yrs old. She has taken a number of exams in Ballet, Modern Jazz, Theatre Craft & Musical Theatre. Hannah has performed in many Timmins Showcases at the Crescent Theatre, and was a successful candidate to make it through the auditions for the English Youth Ballet Nutcracker & Ballet Etudes and the Stage Experience production of FAME.

    Hannah is wonderful with the children, we are lucky to have her in the team.

  • Libby Doyle

    STUDENT TEACHER

    Started training at Timmins Academy at the age of 3yrs old. During her time at the school Libby has taken exams under the IDTA examination board in Ballet, Modern Jazz, Theatre Craft & Musical Theatre. Libby has performed in a number of Shows for Timmins and she was a successful candidate to make it through auditions for the Alexandra Theatre

    Libby has a natural gift with children and has found a new passion for teaching, which she is now working towards taking her diploma 3 teaching exam in Ballet.

    STUDENT TEACHER

    Started training at Timmins Academy at the age of 3yrs old. During her time at the school she has taken a number of exams in ballet, Modern Jazz, Theatre Craft & Musical Theatre. Lucy has performed in many Timmins shows at the Crescent Theatre in Birmingham, and will be appearing in the DanceXchange Beyond Borders project. Lucy adores the children and they adore her.

    STUDENT TEACHER

    Millie Harper Joined Timmins Academy at the age of 3yrs old. During her time at the school she has taken exams in Ballet, Modern Jazz, Theatre Craft & Musical Theatre. Millie has performed in many Timmins showcases at the Crescent Theatre, and has appeared in the DanceXchange beyond Borders project in June and has successfully completed Summer Schools with Elmhurst Ballet School.

    Millie is currently working towards taking her intermediate Ballet exam and has also joined the DanceExchange CAT Program as she would like to further her career in dance. Millie has found a new passion for teaching and enjoys the energy the children give.
